3. Ahrefs Starter
Ahrefs Starter is about $29/mo. That is the honest small-business door into keyword and backlink data — not Lite at $129/mo.
Use it to see who links to competitors and which queries you have a chance at. Do not buy Lite because a YouTube video said “real SEOs use Ahrefs.” Lite is for people who research other sites all day.

Skip it if you already like NeuronWriter’s editor. You do not need both.
5. ChatGPT Plus
Plus is $20/mo. It is a writing assistant, not an SEO platform. It will not audit your site, track rankings, or show backlinks.
Use it for titles, FAQs, and a first draft after you know the query from Search Console or Ahrefs. Then paste the draft into NeuronWriter or Surfer.
Skip Plus for SEO if you do not already use ChatGPT for other work. Do not add a $20 tool that cannot see your pages.
6. Semrush — only if SEO is the job

Buy it when you need site audits, rank tracking, and competitor gaps every week. Until then you are paying for dashboards you will open twice.

Who should skip this whole stack
- You hired an agency. They already have a suite. Do not stack a second one “to check their work” unless you will log in weekly.
- You only wanted an AI writer. Writesonic and Jasper fill pages. They will not tell you if the page can rank. That is not an SEO tool.
- You only needed Google Business Profile. Hours, photos, and reviews are not NeuronWriter’s job.
